What a better way to increase our self-esteem than to participate in an acting and improvisation class? The Mariposas spent one morning learning about acting techniques and how to start building short skits. Let’s loosen up with dancing! After warm up exercises the Mariposas began an exercise on improvisation. That can be scary! Let’s begin with a concept and build it. Our idea: Haunted House + Friendship + Bullying. The acting instructors guided the Mariposas through the exercise by building on the plot. It was fun to watch the girls display their acting skills and building up on the story. After the acting lesson, the Mariposas were tasked to plan their skit. Through this activity, they will learn script writing, team-building and acting.
